New Trail Link, Midnight Ultras & Imperfect Action
Hey friends!
Here’s a quick look at what’s on my radar this week in Pennsylvania’s parks and trails, plus one-person business insights to help power your next move.
🌳 Outdoors Spotlight
🌉 Christian to Crescent trail section opens
The new Christian to Crescent section of the Schuylkill River Trail opened this past weekend. Highlights include a stunning 650-foot cable-stay bridge with city views, nighttime lighting, benches, and a tunnel link to Grays Ferry Crescent. It also connects to the 34th Street Bridge and is part of both the Circuit Trails network and the East Coast Greenway.
⚡ Trail & Ultra Buzz
👉 Reckless Redeye Endurance Run (Jun 22)
The midnight start time adds a unique challenge to this beginner-friendly ultra at the Burlington County Fairgrounds in Columbus, NJ. Runners can tackle 3-hour, 6-hour, 12-hour, or 12-hour relay options on a wide, grassy 3.3-mile loop course with minimal elevation gain.
👉 Coventry Woods Trail Running Festival (Jun 22)
If a midnight start isn’t your thing, check out this festival-style trail race that winds through the rocky singletrack of Coventry Woods Park in Pottstown. Choose from a 5K, 10K, 3-hour, 6-hour, or a 6-hour relay on a rugged loop course with up to 850 feet of elevation gain.
💡 Smart Move for Your Week
Success doesn’t happen overnight, and neither does personal growth. Be patient with yourself as you navigate the ups and downs of your journey. Give yourself grace when things don’t go according to plan, and remember that consistency over time is what truly leads to lasting results. Keep showing up, stay committed, and trust that your hard work will pay off eventually.
💭 Parting Thought
Optimize for progress, not perfection. Waiting for the perfect idea, design, or timing slows you down. Focus on getting things out there, learning from the process, and refining as you go. Every imperfect action moves you closer to clarity and results.
That’s all for this one.
Make this week count — get outdoors, chase your goals, and stay focused. If you’ve got something great to share, I’d love to hear from you!
Onward and upward,
Laura
