PA Trails, Ultra News & Tips to Work Smarter This Week
Hey friends!
I’m lacing up for next week’s Bob Ross-inspired Happy Little (Virtual) 5K — because who doesn’t love a fun run with good vibes and happy trees?
Here’s a quick look at what’s on my radar this week in Pennsylvania’s parks and trails, plus one-person business insights to help power your next move.
🌳 Outdoors Spotlight
👉 Appalachian Trail Hike at Little Gap (May 29)
Check out a newly rerouted section of the Appalachian Trail on this guided 4.5 to 5-mile lollipop hike along the Lehigh Gorge ridgeline near Slatington. You’ll also learn about the restoration of a former Superfund site and the work that’s gone into bringing this scenic landscape back to life.
⚡ Trail & Ultra Buzz
👉 Wissahickon Wanderers Spring Race Series at the Wiss
The popular Spring Race Series is back with free, fun trail races every Thursday evening in May, starting May 1st. Each 4–5 mile course kicks off at 6:30pm from Valley Green Inn ― arrive early to park and sign in. Weekly race details will be shared the Sunday before on the Facebook page.
💡 Smart Move for Your Week
Don’t be afraid to pivot. Plans rarely go perfectly, and that’s completely fine. If something isn’t working, don’t hesitate to change direction or adjust your strategy. Flexibility is key to adapting and moving forward, even when the path shifts. Being willing to pivot allows you to make smarter decisions and ensures you stay on track toward your bigger vision.
💭 Parting Thought
Your story is what sets you apart. In a world full of noise, your unique experiences and perspective are what make you stand out. Don’t be afraid to share your story, because it’s what others will connect with the most. Authenticity creates true connection.
That’s all for this one.
Make this week count ― get outdoors, chase your goals, and stay focused. If you’ve got something great to share, I’d love to hear from you!
Onward and upward,
Laura
